What is it about?
ENERGÍA LOS CABOS is a Renewstable® type power plant developed by HDF Energy in Mexico. Renewstable® plants generate energy from renewable sources and include a hydrogen backup. This approach creates a base load of stable, continuous electricity derived from an intermittent primary energy source (solar), at a competitive cost compared to fossil fuels. The project consists of a solar park, energy storage in the form of hydrogen, and Li-Ion batteries to ensure a stable, non-polluting service. ENERGÍA LOS CABOS will produce 40 MW during the day and during the late-day peak, and 9 MW at night, with an annual production of 195 GWh—equivalent to the electricity consumption of over 100,000 people.
