On the 27th February, HYPOP’s Project Partner Spanish Hydrogen National Centre (CNH2) carried out the WP3 workshop. CNH2 presented to the audience aspects such as what it is the HYPOP Project and its goals, the understanding of hydrogen properties and technologies, and then, the applications of this technologies.
The main goal of the workshop was to increase the participants’ knowledge, exchange opinions, or clarify concerns. Then, CNH2 workers showed some projects developed in Spain and carried out activities related to these to find out the participants’ opinions.
Main topics were exchanged in the workshop:
- Regarding environmental aspects, people though that hydrogen could decrease the pollution. However, people were worried about water consumption.
- Attendees thought it could generate more employment and different levels of trainings would be needed depending on how people are involved in the projects or the hydrogen usage.
- In terms of security, they talked about the necessity of a good maintenance of the hydrogen infrastructure as a consequence of hydrogen properties.
- Lastly, about cost, the public expressed that it is necessary to invest in hydrogen transport and infrastructure to be profitable.
